I've been thinking about some things out of the ordinary. Hahas.

Ever wondered how our human mind plays tricks on us?

Here's one... Just tell yourself not to think about anything, seriously, ANYTHING. Can't seem to get it out of your head anymore right?

Read this statement: Swallow your saliva."
You now have one more thing to concentrate on...

One more.
"Blink your eyes."

It's really amazing that we don't notice these involuntary actions each and every day of our lives, that is, until someone, like yours truly, or something, reminds you about it.

When you feel the lump in your throat each time you swallow your saliva, or feel the movement of your eyelids, you can't help but wonder why, and how come you don't feel a thing at all in normal circumstances. Amazing?

Hmm.

Personally, I think that as we get older, we tend to get too analytical about things, thus making us think too deeply of things, especially of simple questions, like "What's 1 + 1?"

I think most adults would wonder about the question and as a result, take more time before they come up with an answer to it...

Perhaps I'm really going through something...

Really don't know what... but this popped up in my head all of a sudden 2 days back...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Prov 3:5-6)

I'm not gonna let anything pull me down.

Things have happened.

I can't change anything.

What I can do, is just to make it all better.

I've experienced, learnt, and now I've got to change.

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light" (Matt 6:13)

I will see, observe, and I will change.

Anyway,

I'm heading back to camp tomorrow. Will be stuck there for the next 1.5 years or so... till 25th Jan 2010... well... it's army life.

Do I?

I really wonder. Can't help that some things don't seem to get any better. Things come and go, but whatever it is just seems stuck here all the time.

Not gonna elaborate.

Have to head back to camp soon... one whole day of crapping around already. Can't even go for my grandma's b'day dinner. It's just plain dumb.

Have I had enough?

I really don't know at all. It's just weird thinking about certain things. When you consider things from one angle, to another angle, to yet another angle, the perspectives just change, and things just end up becoming more complicated.

What can I do?

Don't really know the answer to that too. I guess I'll just leave it all to God then. Hopefully I'll get an answer soon. Sometimes, the process really causes you to suffer a lot, when you keep waiting, waiting, waiting... But that's life, isn't it?

I'm looking ahead?

There's yet another 2 more weeks to the end of my training. Can't imagine that I've actually gone through 6 weeks already. But the tough part's just beginning. There are still many more things that have to be done, and the focus is now on these last 2 weeks. 2 weeks. All I have to make good my time in Stagmont. Have to hit the "books" once again.

What's in store for me?

Yet another "Don't know..." The future is just there, but I just don't know what's ahead for me. Yeah, everyone hopes for good things to keep coming their way, but I expect some bad things to happen as well. A life without balances is not a life at all.

I really, really, really hope that I'll get an answer...

I took a risk. Sometimes the outcome will definitely be good, but sometimes not. But if I cannot be a risk-taker, how can I advance in life.

Life's all about risks. Without it, there can be no outcome.

Some food for thought

-Every beginning comes to an end, but with each end, gives birth to a new beginning.

New things come about everytime, it's just whether we meet up with the new challenges head-on and decide on finding solutions for them, or we just sit back, relax, and end up losing everything we have. The end is only a place for us to create a new beginning.

-A man who has no failures is a man who does nothing.

Who hasn't met with them in life. Not everything we do will definitely end up in success. There's still a 0.01% chance of failure in something that has a 99.99% chance of success. What matters most is that we try, and we work hard at trying.
