Maple and Baking
All work but no play makes Jack a dull boy. So what? I'm not Jack?
I'm writing this while MSNing Char and Hardy at the same time...
Woke at 9.30am today, then fell asleep again... dunno why... next time I woke, father yelling at me, cos it was already 2.30pm LOL!
Spent the whole crappish afternoon and early evening playing Maplestory... can't blame me... DAY was just too boring. Went to do Ludi PQ (to those who know it, good, to those who don't, too bad) for the 1st time in my life. Ended up doing stupid things there. Shan't elaborate.
Night was bad, bad and bad. Went to Khatib NTUC to look for puff pastry, don't have. Went to Cheers look, Don't Have... Then took a bus to Northpoint to look; Cold Storage, DON'T HAVE...
BLUFF YOU! Found it there after a while, and what I saw next was so tempting... B&J's ice cream at $19.95 for 2 TUBS! What the... and I bu she de hua qian mai... CRAP! Ice cream... ice cream... ice cream... won't be able to sleep properly tonight.
I'm so disgusted by myself. 49 days to NS and I'm still thinking of ice cream... hahas! Sad, Hardy's going in this coming thursday. BON VOYAGE!!! xDxD Bet he'll kill me as soon as he reads this.
Back to the puff pastry...
Made biscuits with it, and I stupidly placed some of the baked ones on kitchen towels... 10 seconds later, all stuck to them. Had to throw away about 5 pieces... NOOOOOO... never mind. At least I got quite a bit left still hahas. Anyway, I made brownies too, but I underestimated the amount of the ingredients needed so I filled like 1/3 of the large baking tin... had to switch to the smaller one. And I almost forgot the walnuts. Well, the brownies are still in the oven NOW and I'm like waiting for them to get ready, so that I can clear up. Haiz.
Remember, there's always an obstacle when you decide to cook or bake stuff... It's called siblings. When food disappears, wonder where it goes? Whodunnit?
Guess it's time to go check on the brownies again?
